Josephine "Josie" Loveless

Josephine "Josie" Loveless, age 73, of Caney, Kansas passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Journey Home Hospice in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. 

 

Josie was born on October 23, 1947 in Mill Creek, Indiana to George and Sarah (Corn) Hall.  She grew up in Indiana where she graduated high school. 

 

On July 3, 1966 she married the love of her life, Gerald W. Loveless in Indiana.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas where they raised their daughters.  Josie worked many years for Acme Foundry.  The couple moved to Caney, Kansas in the mid 2000's so they could be closer to their grandchildren. 

 

Josie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Caney, Kansas for many years.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, knitting, and participated in bowling leagues.  Most of all she loved the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends. 

 

Surviving to honor her memory are her loving husband, Gerald Loveless of the home; children, Jody Munday and husband, Erin of Caney, Kansas, Jennifer Hodges and husband, Donny of Havana, Kansas; grandchildren, David Munday and wife, Kayla of Caney, Kansas, Tim Munday and fiancé, Sierra of Caney, Kansas; great grandchildren, Kynlee Munday, Colt Munday; siblings, Harry Hall and wife, Pat of Valparaiso, Indiana, Curtis Hall of Altoona, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sarah Hall; siblings, Bill Hall, Nora Hall, Joe Hall and Judy Hines.

 

The family will visit with friends on the evening of Friday, June 4, 2021 at the First Assembly of God Church in Caney, Kansas from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. 

 

Memorial Services will be held by the family on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Caney, Kansas.  Pastor Doyle Brummett will officiate. 

 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd Coffeyville, KS 67337.
