Clarence "CD" "Buzz" Douglas McIntyre

 

Clarence “CD” “Buzz” Douglas McIntyre, 72, of Lenapah passed away on April 28, 2021, in Nowata, surrounded by his family.

 

Clarence was born April 22, 1949, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Clarence Maywood and Vivian Louise (Nierman) McIntyre. He attended and graduated from High School in Single Bay, Australia, where he was required to learn to ride a horse and play chess as taught by the master. After returning to the United States Buzz entered the Unites States Navy and enjoyed his time serving his country. Buzz was a Sailor aboard the USS Wright which was the Flagship for President Nixon.  He married Twila Kay Fry in Lenapah, Ok. and they celebrated years of marriage before her passing. He owned and operated an oilfield business and oil leases for many years.  Buzz worked as a driller and took care of all the jobs needed as an owner and lease holder of the Company. He was a very knowledgeable auto mechanic and owned his own repair shop in Oologah for many years. Buzz was not afraid of getting his hands dirty and tackling any project that was in front of him. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, which led to many hobbies such as looking at the moon and stars through a telescope. He was very kind, happy, and giving man. He would help anyone in need. He loved being a grandpa to all the kids in Lenapah. Buzz enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them unconditionally. He will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Proceeding Buzz in death are his parents Clarence and Louise McIntyre;  siblings, Ron (Skeet) McIntyre, Jack Myers;  and one granddaughter Victoria Egermeier.

 

Survivors include his two daughter Tresa Egermeier and husband Kevin of Delaware, OK, Sara Riggs and husband Joe,  of Tulsa, OK; two siblings, Sue Forrester and husband Dave, of Coffeyville, KS and Joy  Gunter and husband Don of Kenosha, Wisconsin; a sister in law, Pat McIntyre of Coco Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Stephen Egermeier and wife Tamara, Joseph Egermeier (who changed his last name to McIntyre  to carry on the McIntyre name), Chad Collins and wife Kayley; nine great grandchildren and many other relatives and a host of friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Ball Cemetery in Childers, OK with Pastor Keith Eggermeir officiating.
