Danny Lee Fricke

 

Danny Lee Fricke, age 58, of Dearing, Kansas passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at his home. 

 

 

Danny was born on October 6, 1962 in Oswego, Kansas to James "Jim" and Mary (Doherty) Fricke.  At a young age his family moved to Coffeyville where he attended school and graduated from Field Kindley High School.  Danny also went to the Fort Scott Trucking School. 

 

 

He worked for Evans and Associates in Ponca City, Oklahoma driving a truck; he worked for Buffalo Bait Shop in Coffeyville in 2005.  Danny worked the longest as a carman for Union Pacific Railroad. 

 

 

In 1991 he was united in marriage to Julie Toliver.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville.  Of that union two children were born, Kasey and Cody.  The couple later divorced in 2007. 

 

 

On Halloween night of 2009 he had his first date with Carla Peitz.  It didn't take long for them to fall in love and they have been together ever since.  They made their home in Dearing.

 

 

Danny was talented with iron work.  He operated a business called Country Iron Art from 2002 to 2019.  Most of all he loved his family.  He loved to spend his time surrounded by his family and friends. Danny will be deeply missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. 

 

 

Surviving to cherish his memory is Carla Peitz of the home; parents, Jim and Mary Fricke of Coffeyville, Kansas; children, Kasey Fricke of Caney, Kansas, Cody Fricke of Dearing, Kansas; grandchildren, Paul Vest, Zoey Vest, Sean Locke; siblings, Cindy King of Coffeyville. Kansas, Jimmy Fricke of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lisa Mars of Wichita, Kansas; nephew, Justin King; niece, Ashley Mars.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Melissa and Jack. 

 

 

Following Danny's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  No public services are scheduled at this time.
