Brandon Gerry Rees, age 84, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his home. 

 

Brandon was born on April 10, 1936 to Stanley and Sophie Rees in New York.  He attended school and received his high school diploma.  Brandon went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy.  He had a career in the Navy and after 19 years of service he received his honorable discharge and transferred to Fleet Reserve with the rank of CPO/E-7. He later worked at Ft. Watooka in Arizona.

 

In 1963 he married Margret Varize.  Margret had a daughter Marge Lodl that he loved and cared for.  The couple later divorced.  Brandon was the type to always stay busy and liked to tinker with things.

 

Surviving to honor his memory are his step daughter Marge Lodl and sister, Reilani (Rees) Rogerson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Sophie Rees; brothers, Robert Rees and Buckley Rees; sister, Lori (Rees) Suits. 

 

Following Brandon’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  No public services are scheduled at this time.
