Ramona Jean Creed

Ramona Jean Creed, 68, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on April 27, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. 

 

She was born on May 21, 1951 in Drumright, Oklahoma to William and Norma (Smith) Blanton.  Ramona grew up in El Dorado where she graduated

from high school. She went to college at Kansas State University where she earned her Bachlors Degree. 

 

In 1990 she moved to Coffeyville, Kansas to be the Manager for Medicalodge.  On December 31, 1994 she married Ted Creed in Coffeyville where the couple made their home.  Ramona became the Manager of the Pickwick Apartments in Coffeyville for many years until her retirement in 2014. 

Ramona enjoyed antiquing, gardening, decorating, crossword puzzles and baking cookies with her grandchildren.   She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Coffeyville.  Ramona volunteered for Genesis and the Midwest Pregnancy Center in Coffeyville.  She spent her life helping others; she made a choice to be an organ donor. Due to her selfless choice to be a donor, the family was notified that she has already helped to save three lives since her passing.  She was a wonderful person and touched many lives. 

 

She is survived by her loving husband, Ted Creed of the home; children, Amy (Ernie) Macoubrie of Pomona, Kansas, Audra Leigh (Shawn) Palmer of Coffeyville, Kansas, Chadd (Heather) Creed of Temecula, California, Craig (Aishya) Creed of Vista, California; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Wesley Blanton of Liberty, Missouri, Rebecca Catlin of Council Grove, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma Blanton. 

 

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Celebration of Ramona’s life will be held at a later date due to the restrictions at this time. 

 

Memorials can be made to Grace Fellowship; contributions can be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
