William E. "Willie" Stultz

William E. “Willie” Stultz, 83, of Caney, Kansas passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

 

Willie was born on December 19, 1936 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Bill Roosevelt and Edna Mae (Moore) Stultz. He grew up in Caney where he graduated from high school in 1955.  He went on to Coffeyville Community College and earned his associates degree. 

 

 Willie was a hard worker. He worked at Phillips Petroleum doing drafting for 10 years. He then worked at Toner Ford, Pendleton Chevrolet dealership, and Wheeler Chevrolet, in Caney, Kansas, until 1974, when he opened his own business, Stultz Body Shop.  He worked at and operated his successful business until his retirement. 

 

On September 27,1993 he married the love of his life, Debrah Harlan  in Miami, Oklahoma.  The couple made their home in Caney, Kansas.   He was a member of the Christian Church.  He also held membership with the Academy of Model Aeronautics Assoc. and Amateur Astronomer. 

 

He enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles; his hobby for many years was Radio Controlled Airplanes.  Most of all he loved the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends. 

 

Willie is survived by his wife, Debbie Stultz of the home; children, Billie Ann (Laramie) Sallee and their children, Gunner and Gatlin, SueEllen (Chuck) Moss and their children, Blaire, Hannah and Mackenna, Timothy Shaw, Cindy Short, William Stultz, Mike Stultz, Joe Stultz and Jerry Stultz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Edna Mae Stultz and his sister, Billie Jean Stultz.  


Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Havana Cemetery in Havana, Kansas.  Chuck Moss, Willie’s son in-law, will officiate. Visitation will be held through out the day on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at David W. Barnes Funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.  These can be left with the funeral home, or mailed to David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
