Floyd Joseph "Joe" Rinkenbaugh, Jr.

Floyd Joseph “Joe” Rinkenbaugh Jr., 63, of rural Wann, Oklahoma passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at his home.

 

Joe was born on July 11, 1956 in Coffeyville to Floyd J. and Rita M. (Cillessen) Rinkenbaugh, Sr.  Joe grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, he attended Holy Name Catholic School, Field Kindley High School, and Coffeyville Community College.

 

On July 1, 1977 he married Sandra Perkins at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in rural Wann, Oklahoma. Joe worked for years in manufacturing before starting Altas Steel Company in Vinita, Ok. More recently he served as Office Manager for South Coffeyville Stockyards.

 

He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo Board.  In his spare time Joe enjoyed playing pool and loved spending time with his family, friends and canine companion, Poncho. 

 

Survivors include his wife, Sandi Rinkenbaugh of the home; one daughter, Haley Babb and husband Eric of Altus, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Eleanora Babb; his mother, Rita Rinkenbaugh of Coffeyville; three brothers, John Rinkenbaugh and wife, Diane of Collinsville, Oklahoma, William “Bill” Rinkenbaugh and wife, Teri of Augusta, and Robert Rinkenbaugh and wife, Tammi of Wichita; and three sisters, Mary Ann Dreiling and husband, Criag of Wichita, Rita Taylor and husband, Michael of Independence, and Susan Rinkenbaugh of Coffeyville.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Rinkenbaugh.

 

A Private Family Graveside service will be in Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville with Father Daniel Lorimer officiating.

 

No public service is scheduled at this time. When the time is appropriate Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Joe’s life will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church, the date and time will be announced when the celebration is scheduled.

 

Friends may call on Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

 

The family suggests memorials to the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo Livestock Sale or Holy Name Catholic Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
