Etta L. Long

Etta L. Long, 88, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 surrounded by her loving family in Coffeyville. 

 

Etta was born on March 3 1932 in West Plains, Missouri to Albert Clark McCullian and Oma (Neal) McCullian. 

 

In 1949 she married the love of her life, Robert L. Long.  Following their marriage they made their home in Springfield, Missouri until moving to Coffeyville, Kansas 58 years ago.  Her husband preceded her in death in September of 1986. 

Etta worked as a server for George’s Cafeteria in downtown Coffeyville for several years.  She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed knitting, embroidery, word searches along with collecting purses and shoes. 

 

She is survived by her children, Robert L. Long, Jr. and wife, Linda of Tucson, Arizona, Connie Burnham and husband, Jim of Coffeyville, Kansas, Larry D. Long of Atlanta, Georgia, Sherry Romines of Coffeyville, Kansas, Debora J. Hilton and husband, Eric of Coffeyville, Kansas, Margaret Scott and husband, Wayne of Coffeyville, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and three great grandchildren on the way.  Etta was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Oma McCullian and husband Robert Long. 

 

 

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain Valley Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri.  Pastor Ronnie Turner will officiate.

 

Friends may call on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
