Judith "Judy" Kay Scott

Judith ”Judy” Kay Scott, 78, a longtime Dearing, Kansas resident passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Manor of the Plains in Dodge City, Kansas.

 

She was born June 26, 1941 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Raymond and Frances (Liming) Coble. Judy grew up and attended school in the Coffeyville area graduatng from Field Kindley High School.

 

On April 23, 1960 she married Chester L. Scott at Hutchinson, Kansas. Following their marriage they made their home in Dearing where they

raised their three sons.

 

Judy was a member of the Dearing Christian Church. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

 

Survivors include three sons, David Scott and wife, Paula of Independence, Kansas, Mark Scott and wife, Mary of Dodge City, Kansas, and John Scott and wife, Rose of Neosho, Missouri; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her twin brother, Jerry Coble of Towanda, Kansas and one sister, Jean Daugherty of Coffeyville.

 

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Dearing Christian Church with Jamie Regis officiating. Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.

 

Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

The family suggests memorials to the Dearing Christian Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
