Dennis Ray Bellamy, Sr., 71, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.

 

Dennis was born on December 23, 1948 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Clifford and Evelyn (Sprague) Bellamy.  He grew up in Delaware, Oklahoma where he graduated High School.

 

Dennis worked at a few jobs over the years.  Most recently, he worked for Spears Manufacturing as a forklift operator for five years.  He retired in June of 2010.

 

On July 10, 1972 he was united in marriage to Shirley Phillippi in Claremore, Oklahoma.  Dennis enjoyed dirt track races, rummage sales and auctions.

 

Surviving to honor his memory are his Shirley Bellamy of Coffeyville, Kansas; sons, Dennis Bellamy Jr. of Coffeyville, Kansas, Jimmy Cantrell of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 

Following Dennis’ wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.  No services are scheduled at this time.
