Patricia Sue "Pat" Hyatt

Patricia Sue “Pat” Hyatt, 79, of Grandview, Missouri formerly of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

 

She was born on January 7, 1940 at Caney, Kansas to Albert Earl and Selma Mozelle (Dillon) Cook. When she was young her family moved to Coffeyville where she attended graduating from Field Kindley High School.

 

In 1957 she married Charles Sanders. They had three children, Chuck, Deana and Jon. When her children were older Pat returned to school attending Labette Community College Nursing School becoming a Registered Nurse. Charles preceded her in death.

On December 6, 1985 she married Billy Ray Hyatt. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville until moving to Grandview, Missouri in 1989.

 

While living in Coffeyville worked at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center as a surgical nurse. After moving to Grandview she worked at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri and later at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri.

 

Survivors include her husband, Billy of the home; her children, Chuck (Rhonda) Sanders of Coffeyville, Deana (Norman) Hills of Lenapah, Oklahoma, Jon (Theresa) Sanders of Canyon Lake, Texas, and Todd (Gena) Hyatt of Spring Hill, Kansas; one brother, Jim (Gail) Cook of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers and four sisters.

 

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery with Father Daniel Lorimer of Holy Name Catholic Church officiating.

 

Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville

 

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd., Coffeyville, KS 67337.
