Beverly Henry

 

Beverly Henry, age 77, of rural South Coffeyville, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, November 18, 2019.  Beverly was the daughter of Sherman and Lettie (Neer) Kaufman.  She was born and raised in Coffeyville, Kansas.  She attended Clymore grade school, Roosevelt, and FKHS.  Beverly married Roscoe Henry on September 14, 1960 and to that union, three sons were born. 

Beverly was a homemaker while her boys were growing up.  She was a great cook and also made cakes and wedding cakes.  She loved crafting and antiquing.  Later she worked at Walmart and Town and Country.  She worked for USD 445 and Tri-County from which she retired.  She loved working with the little kids.  Family was very important to her and she tried to keep in touch with everyone.  She was a good friend to many.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Roscoe, of the home and three sons: Raymond Henry and wife Melinda of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Ronald Henry and wife Sandra of Coffeyville, Kansas, and Rodney Henry of Wann, Oklahoma.  Beverly is survived by two siblings, Kay Adams of Independence, Kansas and Naomi Dannatt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  She is also survived by a dear lifelong friend that she called her sister, Linda White of Ulysses, Kansas. 

 

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, sister Deloris (Kaufman) Rexwinkle, four brothers Harry Dale and Elmer Kaufman, and Emmett and Estel Barber and a great granddaughter, Kiley. 

 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma.  Pastor James Feltner will officiate.  Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. 

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.  The family will greet friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6pm-8pm. 

 

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to USD 445 or Tri-County; contributions can be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd Coffeyville, KS 67337.
