Harlod G. Cease

Harold G Cease age 90 of Coffeyville, passed away on September 26, 2019 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

Harold was born in Coffeyville on November 6, 1928 to Glen and Pauline (Dunn) Cease. Harold attended local grammar schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School where he was active in all sports. He continued his education at Coffeyville Community College, earning his associate degree. It was during college that he was introduced to Ruth Holmes through a mutual friend. Harold asked Ruth to a football game one night and as they say, the rest is history, the couple was united in marriage on May 13, 1950. They were blessed with two daughters and a son. Harold found employment as an accountant with Union Gas, Sherwin Williams for over 29 years, and retiring HBD Porter after 11 years. Harold had a kind heart and always tried to be the best neighbor to everyone. He was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Over the last 69 years he volunteered for many duties with the church, whether it be keeping the records, helping clean, or just filling any needed position he could be counted on. In their younger years, Harold and Ruth could be found at the square dances. Harold loved his family and always tried to provide the best for them all.

Harold’s memories will live on with his wife of 69 years, Ruth, daughter; Patricia Ruth Cease, sister; Karen Thompson, grandchildren; Setare Perryman her husband Joey, Caveh Samadami his wife Michelle, and Amir Samadami his wife Whitney, great-grandchildren; Shayla, Layla, Elijah, Christian, and Jeremiah Perryman, Randi, Maurice, Lane, Landon, Noah, Michael, Samuel, and Grayson Samadami.

He now rests with his parents, son Donald Glenn Cease, daughter Peggy Lee Samadami, brothers; Don Cease, and Dwayne Cease, and sister Joy Pullins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
