Haroldene Collene Ferguson

Haroldene Collene Ferguson age 87, of Coffeyville, formerly of Angola passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.

 

Haroldene was born July 6, 1932 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Harold and Lorraine (Campbell) Pittaway. The family moved often due to her father’s job living in Hammond, Indiana, Dyer, Indiana Port Arthur, Texas and finally Conaway, Missouri where Haroldene completed her education and married Albert Jay Larimore on June 30, 1948 in Conway Arkansas. The couple made their home in Kansas City, Kansas and later divorced. Following the divorce Haroldene relocated to Angola, Kansas. In Angola she met and married William H. Ferguson on July 2, 1977. Haroldene was employed by Angola, Kansas School District as a custodian, Jolly Kids as a seamstress, Medicalodges as a custodian and then she received her CNA Certificate and was employed by Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for 15 years until her retirement. Haroldene enjoyed crafting, reading knitting and sewing.

 

Haroldene was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Marlin D. Andrew, three sisters, Agnes Mae, Merilee, and Cicela Jane and her husband William on August 7, 2004. Those left to cherish her memory include seven children, Robert David (Marla) Larimore, Coffeyville, Kansas, Roger ( Nellie) Larimore, Covina, California, Rodney ( Sonia) Larimore, Coffeyville, Kansas, Steve ( Janie) Ferguson, Pea Ridge, Arkansas; three daughters, Debrah (Eldon) Larimore Woods, Independence, Kansas, Lotawana Ferguson Bruner, Seligman, Missouri, Nedra Ferguson  Forbes, Centerton, Arkansas; 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren.

 

 A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm. The family suggests memorials be made payable to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
