Marcia Kay McKee Fields

Marcia Kay McKee Fields, age 75 of Tyro, Kansas went to meet her Heavenly Father on March 25, 2019 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. 

 

Marcia was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on March 14, 1944, the daughter of Ernest and Mildred Juanita (Neta) McKee Phillips. 

She attended school in Caney and went on to college at the University of Kansas.  After graduating in 1966 with a nursing degree, she served in the Navy in various parts of the country, as well as Japan.  Always caring for others, her time after Navy service was spent in nursing and managing nurses throughout parts of Oklahoma and Kansas. 

 

Marcia was united in marriage to Dwight Fields of Tyro, Kansas on March 20th, 1993 at Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, Kansas. 

She loved quilting, sewing, bowling, and spending time with her family, especially babysitting all of her grandchildren. 

 

Survivors include her husband Dwight Fields of Tyro, Kansas;  one son Michael (Jill) Tatum of Manhattan, Kansas;  one step-daughter Deborah (James) Castillo of Houston, Texas; three step-sons Oren (Charla) Fields of Keller, Texas; Ernest (Cyndi) Fields of Wills Point, Texas; and Matt (Joy) Tatum of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; one brother Phillip (Ruth) McKee of Independence, Kansas; and two aunts Sandra Mowrar and Linda Lavine of Claremore, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren Zachary and Nathan Castillo of Houston, Texas; Marissa and Angelina Fields of Wills Point, Texas; Drew and Jay Tatum of Manhattan, Kansas; Adeline, Eleanor and Evelyn Fields of Keller, Texas; Madly Tatum of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law Loyd (Patty) Fields of Caney, Kansas; one sister-in-law Linda (Warren) Newby of Coffeyville, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lonny Ray McKee. 

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Caney United Methodist Church, 114 N High Street in Caney, Kansas with the pastor Brad Sanders officiating.  Visitation will take place from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Caney United Methodist Church. 

 

Memorial contributions in honor of Marcia Fields may be made to Caney United Methodist Church; contributions may be left with or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
