Linda Diann Benton

Linda Diann Benton, age 64, went home to her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 28, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.

 

Linda was born September 30, 1954 in Coffeyville to Dewey and Beverly (Loveless) Livingston. She grew up and attended school in Coffeyville. She received her nursing assistant certificate and worked at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and Jane Phillips Medical Center before retirement.

 

On February 9, 1974 Linda married Richard Benton at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Linda was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, OK. She ministered to many through her organ and piano and singing. In her spare time Linda loved garage sales, collecting Precious Moments figurines and spending time with her family.

 

Survivors include her husband Richard Benton of the home, one daughter LaTisha Tickle and husband Elvin of Coffeyville, her mother Beverly Fisher of Bartlesville, OK two sisters, Judy Elliott and husband Charles of Bartlesville, OK and Tracey Lockaby and husband Mark of Cherryvale, KS, two grandchildren, Bryan Tickle and Valarie Tickle, and two great-grandchildren, Marshall and Sydney.

 

All of her family and church family will miss her dearly, her laughter, singing and playing the organ and piano will be among the memories shared by family and friends.

 

With respect to Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Emmanuel Chapel, 5th & Seminole St., S Coffeyville, OK at 11 am with Pastors James Feltner and Johnny Gray officiating.  The family will receive friends at Emmanuel Chapel on Thursday, March 14th from 6 to 8 pm.  At the request of the family memorials may be made payable to the American Cancer Society and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
