David Daniel Castorena

David Daniel Castorena age 58 of Edna passed away on September 27, 2018 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

David was born on December 17, 1959 in Coffeyville to OC "Keido” and Mickey “Rodriquez” Castorena. David attended local elementary schools until he joined the United States Marine Corps on September 28, 1977. During his time in the Marines he received his high school diploma in Transylvania. David was a gunner in the Corps until his honorable discharge when he returned home to Coffeyville. He began working at Spears where he reunited with longtime childhood friend Debra Sue Amann, the couple started dating and were united in marriage on November 7, 1987 in Seoul, South Korea while Debra was serving in the United States Army. David enjoyed working on things with wheels and motors; he was always tinkering on an old mower. He took a special interest in teaching his son Zack how to work on things and they spent countless hours talking and working together. David also loved anytime he could get with his grandchildren, they were his happiness. He will be missed for his strong willed sometimes stubborn ways that his friends and family loved so much about him. He was known to stir people up to see what their reaction would be all in good fun. He also loved cats.

David’s memories will live on with his wife Debra, sons, Zachary Castorena his wife Victoria and Joseph Castorena, daughters, Tamera Weber her husband Rusty and Monica Castorena her fiancé Mike Cook, brother OC Castorena, Andrew Castorena, and Robert “Cas” Castorena, sisters, Penny Tucker, Lynn Brown, Debbie Blumenstein, Jane (Meador) McGee her husband Kent, and Rhonda Kelvin, grandchildren, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Castorena, Tristin Golden, Jaxon Bond, and Dylan Weber also numerous nieces and nephews.
