The Indians and head coach Matt Fowler finished the regular season on a high note, defeating Central-Burden 68-22 to complete a perfect 8-0 campaign.
The Indians have secured one of the top seeds in the 8-Man Division I bracket and outscored all but one opponent by at least 24 points during the regular season.
Last week, Oswego defeated Southeast to claim its first district title since 2009 and just the second in school history, while also clinching the Three Rivers League Championship. Fowler says it was a tremendous night to be an Indian.
With the postseason just days away, Oswego will look to keep its perfect season rolling. Fowler says the biggest thing he’s learned about this team over the past eight weeks is its togetherness and willingness to go the extra mile.
Oswego will face No. 4 seed Dexter this Friday in the first round of the 8-Man playoffs. If the Indians advance, they’ll take on the winner of Washington and Cair Paravel.
