The Erie Red Devils and head coach David Pitts fell to 3-4 on the season after dropping a 58-6 decision to Yates Center in Week 7.

Erie’s last two games have come against teams ranked or considered among the top five in 8-man football.

Yates Center put up 28 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Pitts says it was one of those nights when the ball just didn’t bounce Erie’s way, as the Wildcats came out firing.

The Red Devils will hit the road to face West Elk in their regular-season finale, and Pitts says his team will get back to the basics and fundamentals, emphasizing focus and execution.

Erie has a chance to finish the season at .500 while looking to keep West Elk at one win and spoil the Patriots’ Senior Night tomorrow evening.
