The Kansas Jayhawks have won five of their past six matches and haven’t lost in over a month as Big 12 play ramps up.

 

KU’s latest victory came at home against Arizona, a 2-0 win that featured two goals in the final 10 minutes, both coming from junior Jillian Gregorski.

 

Head coach Nate Lie was proud of how his team performed against two tough conference opponents and was happy to come away with a pair of wins. He says he would’ve liked to see the Jayhawks break through the defense sooner after controlling the majority of the game.

 

The Jayhawks have allowed just two goals over their past six matches, and Lie says that’s one of the team’s biggest strengths. He also pointed to scoring, particularly in the first half, as an area that will be key for the Crimson and Blue moving forward.

 

The Jayhawks will begin a three-game road trip this Friday when they take on the sixth-ranked Baylor Bears, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
