The Erie Red Devils and head coach David Pitts moved to 2-2 on the season after a dominant showing against Udall Friday, coming away with a 50-0 shutout victory.

 

The Red Devils rebounded from a home loss to South Sumner in Week 3 and have gotten their offense rolling in the first half of their inaugural 8-man football season.

 

Pitts and his squad made the two-and-a-half-hour trip for their Week 4 road game, but after a shaky warm-up, Pitts says his team played a nearly flawless game, while his defense executed one of the most physical games he’s seen since arriving in Erie.

 

Pitts also says confidence is becoming a big factor in how the Red Devils approach each contest, as the team’s mindset has grown while becoming more accustomed to the new format and the competition around them.

 

The Red Devils will return home this Friday to take on Southeast, looking to move above .500 for the first time this season while trying to hand the Lancers their second loss.
