The K-State Wildcats couldn’t get the job done against the Cincinnati Bearcats, falling 31-26 at Nippert Stadium Saturday.

 

An early 10-point advantage evaporated, and after a late touchdown cut into their deficit, the Purple and White were unable to muster one last scoring drive, falling in their first Big 12 test. Head coach Collin Klein says the Wildcats will need to improve at the line of scrimmage after giving up nearly 300 rushing yards to the Bearcats. 

 

The Wildcats will have a bye week before returning to action against the 20th-ranked Houston Cougars on October 10, with coverage on the Mighty 690.

 

The Kansas Jayhawks rested this weekend after their second straight defeat of the season and will be back in action this week against Middle Tennessee at home.
