The Sedan Blue Devils are wrapping up their third week of practice as they prepare for another eight-man football season, with head coach Mick Holt entering his 17th year at the school.

 

Holt owns a 90-and-57 record through his first 16 seasons with Sedan and has guided the Blue Devils to three undefeated regular seasons since taking over in 2010, most recently in 2021.

 

Sedan will enter this season with some changes in the backfield, as Holt says the Blue Devils are looking to create dual threats in the run game by shuffling the quarterback and running back positions to better fit their personnel.

 

Holt says Sedan has talent at multiple skill positions, but he also emphasized the importance of the offensive line, pointing to players who have shown grit and versatility in pass protection.

 

With gameday now just a week away for Sedan and programs across Kansas, the Blue Devils are putting the finishing touches on their preparation before Friday Night Lights officially returns.
