The Coffeyville Community College volleyball team picked up a win in its home opener Wednesday, defeating Seminole State College in five sets at Nellis Hall.

 

The Red Ravens have now played three five-set matches this season, winning each one. Coffeyville closed out Wednesday's match by taking the deciding set 15-13.

 

The victory continues a strong start for Coffeyville under first-year head coach Blair Wyrick. After opening last season 1-and-4, the Red Ravens have shown an ability to make plays in the closing stages of tight matches.
 

Coffeyville will look to extend its winning streak to three matches tomorrow when the Red Ravens host Dallas College Mountain View in Nellis Hall. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
