The Parsons Vikings continue preparing for their first game of the season, now less than 10 days away, with head coach Jeff Schibi back on the sidelines for another season in southeast Kansas.
Parsons is just two years removed from a 7-and-1 regular season that ended with a deep postseason run, and the Vikings will look to get back to that level and extend their season into November once again.
Despite the ups and downs of the past two seasons, Schibi says the program is heading in the right direction, with consistency playing an important role in finding success.
In addition, Schibi says two juniors who missed last season will also look to make an impact on defense as Parsons continues working toward the start of the season.
Health will be important for the Vikings and teams across Kansas, with the majority of the state's high school football seasons set to begin next Friday.
