A student from southeast Kansas earns top honors at the USA High School Clay Target League National Championship.
Casyn Johnson of Cedar Vale-Dexter High School took third place in the boys' individual championship. Kansas was also represented in the top 10 by Mason Mains of Chaparral High School in Anthony.
Athletes and teams representing 469 high schools from across the nation participated in the 2026 USA High School Clay Target League National Championship, held at the Michigan Trapshooting Association in Mason, Michigan, July 8th–12th. The event featured nearly 3,000 athletes competing in team and individual qualifying events.
