Coffeyville Community College Baseball hopes April is kinder to them than March.

 

The Red Ravens were 5-14 last month and have begun conference play 3-13.

The Jawhawk league is perhaps the most competitive in the country. This week's NJCAA poll has three teams in the conference ranked in the national top 12.

As coach Jake Martin explains, there are no soft spots on the schedule.

 

Nationally top-ranked Johnson County swept them in a four-game series in March. The Ravens held their own with #12 Hutchinson in February, going 2-2 in that series. On April 15, #4 Cloud County awaits for two games in Emporia.

The Ravens will play a doubleheader at Fort Scott today at 4 p.m.
