Several players from Coffeyville and Independence earn first team honors in All-SEK basketball.
On the boys' side, Field Kindley's Kaylin Austin was named to the All-SEK First Team along with Kellen Lanning and Javen Colbert of Independence. Coffeyville's Kobi Kirk earned an Honorable Mention. The Independence boys tied for first in the SEK league with Chanute with an 8-4 record, while Coffeyville was 4th at 6-6.
For the girls, Katelyn Spencer from Independence was a unanimous First Team selection along with teammate Kaylea Lemos. Coffeyville's Kaylin Caron also earned First Team honors. Brooklyn Mattix of Independence was chosen for the Second Team while Coffeyville's Erin Lopez received Honorable Mention.
Indy girls won the SEK title with an 11-1 record and head coach Brycen Byrd was named Coach of the Year.
