Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College women's basketball team won their third consecutive game, taking momentum into the postseason following a 73-53 road victory over the Garden City Broncbusters.
The game was back and forth early, with Garden City taking an early lead before Coffeyville gained the lead in the second quarter. The Broncbusters would hit a three as time expired to tie the game at 29 heading into halftime.
Both teams struggled with turnovers in the first half, with CCC committing 11 giveaways, and Garden City committing 12.
The Ravens would clean up the mistakes in the second half, as well as dominate the rebound battle, outscoring Garden City 26-16 in the third quarter, and 18-8 in the fouth quarter.
Karliey Parker set a career-high with 23 points and five 3-pointers made. Aubrey Hishaw finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Esme Smith finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Coffeyville finishes the regular season 22-8, and 16-8 in conference play. The Red Ravens will have a first-round bye and play the winner of the five seed and twelve seed in the quarterfinals at Nellis Hall.
