On the basketball court, Jack Sorrell was named KJCCC Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after helping the Ravens to wins over Cowley and No. 19 Dodge City. The freshman returned from injury to total 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists across the two games, including his first collegiate double-double on the road at Dodge City.
On the diamond, Nathan Tajchman earned KJCCC Baseball East Division Player of the Week honors after reaching base 11 times in the season-opening four-game series. Tajchman finished the week batting .500 with a .647 on-base percentage. Also recognized was freshman left-hander Coen Miller, named KJCCC Baseball East Division Pitcher of the Week.
