Ravens Stun Seward County with Pair of Game Winners

The Red Ravens were able to defend Nellis Hall against the Seward County Saints, winning each game with a game-winning shot in the final seconds.

 

The Lady Ravens escape a battle 58-56, and improve to 17-4 on the season. Karliey Parker had the game-winning score with 22 seconds left, in a game that featured more than 10 ties and lead changes. Esme Smith had 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Aubrey Hishaw finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, and seven steals.

 

The men were able to snap a two-game skid and defeat Seward, 73-71, on a game-winning shot from Konstantin Popovic with 0.7 seconds left. The Ravens were down two starters, with Jack Sorrell and Daniel Ntambwe both out due to injury.

 

Freshman Jeremiah Lucas had 21 points in his first collegiate start, while Rashid Kuta finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds. The Raven men improve to 14-7 on the season.

 

The Ravens will aim to begin a winning streak, traveling to Barton County for a date with the Cougars on Saturday afternoon.
