A former Field Kindley track star is named Jayhawk Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Dante Boykin qualified for the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the triple jump by placing fourth at the Pittsburg State University Rumble in the Jungle with a mark of 47 feet and 9 inches. Boykin, a school record holder, graduated from Field Kindley in 2024 and spent one year at Indian Hills Community College before transferring to Coffeyville Community College. Track and Field Coach Robert Woods says it's good to have Boykin back in Coffeyville.
Sophomore Randin Johnson was named Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week. Coach Wood says it's been a good start to the season. CCC ends January with two meets at Washburn and Pitt State and then their first meet in February is on the 7th at the University of Arkansas.
