The Independence-Coffeyville boys swim team competes at the Campus Meet in Wichita, with several strong performances in both individual and relay events.
The team placed seventh in the Boys 200 Free Relay, finishing with a time of 1:49.31. The relay team of Finian Foraker, Graham Leeds, Sam Stukesbary and Bennett Thompson earned one of the team’s top finishes of the meet. In individual events, Lestat Kinney led the way with a ninth-place finish in the 100 Butterfly, swimming a 1:08.35. Bennett Thompson added an eighth-place finish in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:15.65.
Sam Stukesbary posted a pair of solid swims, placing 12th in the 100 Butterfly and 13th in the 100 Backstroke. Finian Foraker finished 15th in the 200 Individual Medley and added a 19th-place showing in the 100 Freestyle. Independence-Coffeyville also earned points in multiple relay events, placing ninth in the 200 Medley Relay, seventh in the 200 Free Relay, and 12th in the 400 Free Relay. The team finished 8th overall.
