Field Kindley High School drops both games on the road to Fort Scott with the Lady Nado falling 58-27 and the Nado boys 47-38. It was a great game defensively for both Tiger teams as they shut down Coffeyville's leading scorers holding Kaylin Caron to six and KK Austin to 11.
The Lady Nado got off to a good start leading 9-8 after the first quarter, but a 13-0 Fort Scott run would see them gain control of the game in the second. Coffeyville would answer with a small run to cut the halftime lead to 26-20. The Lady Tigers would pull away in the second half outscoring Coffeyville 21-6 in the third quarter and 11-1 in the fourth. In their five game losing streak the Lady Nado have been outscored 88-46 in the third quarter. Erin Lopez led the team in scoring with 11. Coffeyville drops to 4-8 and 1-4 in the SEK League.
The Nado boys also got out to a lead after the first quarter 14-12, but some second quarter adjustments would see the Tigers lead at the half 24-20. Fort Scott matched up 6”5” Dredyn Marlow one on one with Austin and he held him in check most of the game. Keonta Stephens and K'Shon Feelin tried to pick up the scoring for Austin with both scoring 10, but it wasn't enough. The Nado drop to 6-6 on the season and 3-2 in league play.
Coffeyville has Tuesday as they get ready for the Ralph Miller Classic in Chanute starting on Thursday.
