Ravens Split Home Doubleheader with Fort Hays Tech

The Red Ravens returned to Nellis Hall for the beginning of a brief two-game homestand, splitting a pair of games with the Tigers of Fort Hays Tech.

Despite a slow start, the Lady Ravens used a big third quarter to earn their fourth straight win, beating the Tigers 68-50. Sophomore Bella Pehrson finished with her first collegiate double-double, with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Mahogany Butler and Londyn Barrett added 12 and 10 off the bench, respectively.

The men's team suffered a tough 77-75 loss to Fort Hays Tech, having a heave for the win at the buzzer blocked. Daniel Ntambwe had 17 points, and Jack Sorrell added 14, but the Ravens hit just five three-point shots on the night.

The Lady Ravens are 14-3, and in a tie for third in the conference, while the men are 12-5, and in a tie for fifth in the league standings. Both teams are back at Nellis Hall tomorrow afternoon to host the Garden City Broncbusters.
