Ravens Rally from 20 Points Down to Sweep Pratt

 

The Red Ravens were able to claim a pair of victories over the Pratt Beavers on a Saturday road trip, with the men's team rallying from an early 20-point deficit to ensure a perfect day.

 

Coffeyville trailed 24-4 six minutes into the game, after Pratt hit nine first-half threes and shot over 60% from the field in the game's opening ten minutes. The Ravens were able to get within seven at halftime, and take their first lead since the opening minute midway through the second half. CCC would prevail in overtime, earning an 87-80 victory over the Beavers.

 

Ulysses Webb had 27 points and six made threes, while Jack Sorrell posted 18 points in the win, including scoring seven points in overtime. Hunter Vaughn led Pratt with a game-high 31 points.

 

The Lady Ravens rolled for the second straight game, defeating the Beavers 74-35 in the afternoon's first game. Coffeyville held Pratt under 10 total points in each of the first three quarters, and dished out 19 team assists. Esme Smith finished with 12 points, while Aubrey Hishaw also posted 12, and Bella Pehrson finished with 11.

 

CCC is 12-4 on the men's side and one game out of first place, while the Lady Ravens are 13-3 and sit in third place, two games behind both Dodge City and Butler. The Ravens are back at Nellis Hall on Thursday night to battle Fort Hays Tech Northwest.
