Field Kindley High School girl's basketball drops their first league game of the new year against Independence, 39-30.

Free throws were the difference in this matchup with Independence going 12/26 from the line and the Lady Nado just 2/6. The Lady Nado took the lead in the third quarter, 21-20, but an 8-0 to close out the quarter would put Independence back in control. They would hold that lead for the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Kaylin Caron finished with 15 for Coffeyville, Erin Lopez added seven and Jessica Zimmerman had five, with those three scoring 27 of the team's 30. Katelyn Spencer had 13 and Madelin Beshear had 12 for Independence. The Lady Nado are back in action of Friday taking on Parsons.
