Colts Fall to 49ers on Monday Night Football

 

44-year-old quarterback Phillip Rivers was unable to pull off the win on Monday Night Football as the Colts fall to the 49ers 48-27.

 

Rivers turned in a solid performance, passing for 277 yeards with two touchdowns and an interception, but it was no match for San Francisco's offensive output. QB Brock Purdy threw for 295 yards with five T-Ds against one interception. Running Back Christian McCaffrey added another 117 yards on the ground on 21 carries.

 

The Colts managed to keep pace in the first half, with a 39-yard field goal by Blake Grupe with seventeen seconds left in the half to bring the score to 24-17 in favor of the niners. San Francisco would widen their lead with three touchdowns and a field goal in the second half to win the game.
