Field Kindley High School splits in their last game of the year with Pittsburg. The Lady Nado won 54-45 and the Nado boys fall 68-45.
Playing their fourth game in five days the Lady Nado got out to a lead early up 13-10 after the first quarter. Pittsburg led by star sophomore McKenzie English would tie things up 28-28. She scored 15 of her 25 points in the first half. After a rough first half shooting, Kaylin Caron would settle in the second half leading the team in scoring with 16 points. She hit two big threes one in each quarter that helped the Lady Nado pull away. Erin Lopez added 15 points and Sophomore Makenzie Jones had a career high nine points.
The Nado got off to strong start leading 15-12 after the first quarter, but thing would get away quickly from them in the second. Pittsburg outscored Coffeyville 16-4 in the second quarter and would lead 28-19 at the half. They would extend that lead outscoring the Nado 19-10 in the third quarter and 21-16 in the fourth. Three Dragons scored in double digits, with Jamarcus Davis leading all scorers with 20 and Zane Miller and Kadin Navaratnam both had 17. K'Shon Feelin lead the Nado with 12 and KK Austin had 10.
Both teams are off until January 3rd when they travel to Baldwin.
