The Caney Valley Bullpups traveled to Galena last night and came home with a doubleheader sweep; the Lady Pups won 57-22, while the guys won 61-33.

 

 Pressure defense worked well for the Lady Pups, forcing turnovers which led to fast break points. The ladies only needed two 3-pointers in the win, with the rest of their scoring coming in the paint. Elyn Washburn led all scorers with 14, while Ameris King-Dunn added 13. Molleigh Kaminska added 10, as the Lady Pups improve to 2-0 on the season.

 

 The inside game worked well for the boys as well; they were led by Peyton Darden with 19. Layne Denny and Traxcyn Garton added 11 apiece, as the boys improve to 1-1 on the season.

 

 There's no rest for the weary, as both teams will participate in the St. Paul Pre-Season tournament tomorrow through Saturday. Both teams will face Chaetopa, with the girls playing at 1:00 and the boys at 2:30. Pregame starts around 12:45 on U-S 98!
