One of the key members of the Red Raven defense will be continuing his football career in the Big 12 conference.
Safety Da'Mare Williams announced his committment to the West Virginia Moutaineers last week. Williams was All-KJCCC Honorable Mention this season, and was graded as a three-star recruit, with offers to Houston, UCF, and Kentucky.
He says the Moutaineers felt right when he stepped on campus.
WVU is looking to climb back to Big 12 title contention after a sub .500 season. Williams says the energy around the program and the urgency excites him about the future.
Williams began playing football at a young age, with eyes on the Division 1 level, and eventually the NFL. He says the hunger to be great comes from his family.
Da'Mare will report to West Virginia next month, with three seasons of eligibility remaining.
