Ravens Drop Home Doubleheader to Dodge City

The Red Ravens were unable to defend home court on Saturday, dropping a pair of games to the Dodge City Conquistadors.

The Lady Ravens hung around with the nation's No. 1 team, but eventually fell 68-60. Head Coach Tony Turner says he's proud of how the group competed for the full game.

Bella Pehrson had 20 points to lead the team, while freshman Mahogany Butler had eight off the bench. Butler says the team is focused on finishing the first half strong this week.

The men's team found themselves down double-digits at halftime, and weren't able to make the comback, falling 76-68 to the Conquistadors. Assistant Coach Jordan Bailey says the team needs to learn how to play full 40 minutes quickly.

Sophomore Daniel Ntambwe had 16 points and 14 rebounds in the loss. He says the team as a whole needs to show more toughness on the court.

Both teams have two games remaining before the winter break, with a trip to Concordia to battle Cloud County on Wednesday night.
