One of the largest rises in the state of Kansas for football ends with a major award, with Labette County head coach Bradley Argabright winning the 4A Coach of the Year from Sports in Kansas.
The Grizzlies finished 9-3 and reached the 4A state semifinals for the first time in school history, after finishing 5-5 in 2024, 1-8 in 2023, and 2-7 in 2022. The team was also without all-state running back Jamaal Jackson, who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 1.
This season, Labette County beat 5A Pittsburg for the first time ever, defeated Chanute twice, and earned a playoff win over Ottawa to secure the first trip to the Final Four in program history.
Argabright also serves as the school's head boys basketball coach, and head track and field coach.
