The Red Ravens' early season struggles with pressure defense continued, with 19 turnovers in a 96-76 loss to the Cowley Tigers.
The Ravens allowed a massive run late in the first half, which Cowley had 22 points off turnovers, and trailed 54-30 heading into the locker room. Sophomore Konstantin Popovic says the team has higher expectations than the way they performed in this one.
Coffeyville would outscore Cowley 46-42 in the second half, and had only five turnovers after the half. Popovic had 18 points to lead the team, while Daniel Ntambwe finished with 14. Assistant Coach John Weigner says the team has multiple areas they need to be better in moving forward.
CCC will be back at home to battle Dodge City on Saturday afternoon, looking to get back in the win column.
