Labette County Advances to 4A Final Four

Labette County High School makes school history, with the football team sectional champions for the first time ever, following a 28-14 win over Ottawa.

The Grizzlies improve to 9-2 with the win, being led by first-year head coach Brad Argabright, and missing senior running back Jamaal Jackson, who suffered a knee injury in the season opener. Argabright says the team has continued to battle together each week.

Altamont was packed on Friday night, as the team has been able to host each of their first three playoff games. Argabright says the community support of this group has been special.

Labette County will face Bishop Miege with a spot in the 4A championship game on the line. Argabright says the job is far from finished for this team.

The Grizzlies will once again be at home for the sub-state championship, hosting the Stags on Friday night.
