Bullpups Looking For Firsts Against Osage City

The Caney Valley Bullpups look to cross into uncharted territory as they take on the Osage City Indians tonight at Caney Memorial Stadium, with an inagural trip to Substate on the line.

Coach Criss Davis credits his coaching staff for making the necessary defensive changes to shut out Riverton in the 2nd half of their 48-28 win last week. He also credits the athletes themselves for being ready to change strategy in-game. Offensively, as much attention as junior quarterback Layne Denny and junior running backs Traxcyn Garton and Jace Buckley have received, a big part of their success comes from sophomore fullback Boone White.

Davis says his team knows that to advance, all three aspects of the team must play a full four quarters.

Caney is 9-1 on the season, riding a six-game winning streak into tonight's matchup. Osage City is also 9-1 on the season; their only loss coming to Silver Lake, 28-21 in Week 7.

Coverage begins with pregame at 6:30, with kickoff at 7:00 on PupNation on YouTube and U-S 98!
