The Red Raven football team hits the road for the regular season finale, battling the rival Independence Pirates on Saturday night on the north side of the county.

 

Coffeyville enters the matchup 6-3 on the season, and No. 7 in the nation. The Pirates are 3-6 on the year, and just 1-4 in their past five games.

 

ICC does feature one of the nation's top receivers in Ejani Shakir, who leads the team in both catches and yards, and has been named conference player of the week. CCC Head Coach Nick Dobler says Shakir is a dangerous weapon to watch out for.

 

The Red Ravens have one of the conference's most efficient offenses in 2025, but Independence has been a top-half defense for most of the campaign. Dobler says this defense will give the team challenges on Saturday.
