South Coffeyville Lions football is preparing for their first postseason game in nearly a decade, and looking for their first playoff win in nearly two decades.
The Lions reached the postseason after a 4-6 season, winning two district games along the way. Head Coach Rich Giesen says the team did a great job of buying in early.
South Coffeyville will face the 9-1 Sasakwa Vikings, who were an undefeated 6-0 in district play. Giesen says this will be a tough test for the team to face.
The team will be arriving in style, using a bus and driver loaned to them through Coffeyville Community College. Giesen says it's an opportunity to create a lifelong memory for everyone.
South Coffeyville and Sasakwa kick off Friday night at 7 p.m. CT.
