The Lady Ravens survived a sloppy weekend at Nellis Hall, overcoming mistakes to finish the Beeson Family Classic with a 2-0 record.
The team took down Southeast Community College on Friday night, 50-41, with Aubrey Hishaw having 21 points and Sh'Ryah Wright adding 14. CCC handled Connors State on Saturday, 74-33, and were led by Bella Pehrson with 18 points.
Despite turnovers and missed free throws being an issue, the Ravens rebounded the ball very all weekend. Head Coach Tony Turner says that will keep a team in any game.
The Lady Ravens travel to El Dorado this week for a non-conference classic at Butler Community College. Turner says this week brings a new challenge to the group.
Pehrson hit six consecutive 3-point shots in Saturday's game, after a slow start to the weekend. She says things started to click for her on the offensive end.
The Lady Ravens play on both Thursday and Friday at 4 p.m. CT, with games on US 98.
