A former Southmoore football player broke the NFL record for the longest field goal in NFL history.
Cam Little of the Jacksonville Jaguars hit a 68-yard field goal against the Las Vegas Raiders at the end of the first half, breaking the previous record of 66 yards for longest kick in league history.
Little converted a 70-yard field goal during a preseason game against the Steelers, but didn't count in the record books because it was an exhibition game.
Little is 22 year old, and played for Southmoore High School before being recruited to play at the University of Arkansas. He was a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
